Donate
Your donations are what keep our children fed, clothed, educated and loved. We could not operate without the kindness that we have been blessed with from people like you.
From the entire Malayaka House Family…
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION!
Mayalaka House is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization (EIN 86-1136792) and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We will send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
Become a Monthly Sponsor
Becoming a monthly sponsor is a wonderful way to provide predictable, necessary funding to Malayaka House. It is often a more economic choice for donors as well. For example, you may be able to afford a monthly $75 donation, but a one-time $900 donation may be difficult. For Malayaka House, $75 a month is the same thing as $900. In fact, that $900 covers the educational expenses for one child for the entire year! If you are interested in being a monthly sponsor at a level you can afford (whether that’s $25 a month or $150), it will have an immensely positive impact on our ability to provide for the children.
A very special thanks goes to…

Doug Pierson was one of Robert’s dearest friends – a mentor, an advocate, and a long-time supporter of Malayaka House. Robert often went to Doug for advice, about building projects at Malayaka House, about ideas he had, and with questions about everything under the African sun. As Robert says, “Doug always gave it to me straight”. He didn’t tiptoe around issues or sugarcoat anything. His business sense and no nonsense attitude have played an integral role in building Malayaka House into the home and family it is today.
In 2011, Doug visited Malayaka House with his wife, Patricia, and his friend Sally. The children immediately fell in love with Doug, and one only had to look at his face to know he felt the same. This strong, powerful man softened into a storybook grandfather the moment he encountered the smiles and laughter of our many children.
Sadly, Doug passed away last year, quite unexpectedly. This has been a massive loss for his family, friends, and all of us here at Malayaka House. We will never forget Doug… Malayaka House may not have existed without him.
Company Sponsors
Raising 44 children comes with a cost. Our goal is that Malayaka House businesses will one day generate enough income to cover that cost in its entirety… but we still have a way to go. In the meantime, the generosity of incredible people, organizations, and businesses allows us to send our kids to school, provide vocational training opportunities, and ensure that they are always safe, well fed, and healthy. We would like to thank the organizations and businesses below for their love and support. We could not do this without you!
If you would like to become a company sponsor, please email us at info@malayakahouse.com.
